About the Event
Come along and learn the traditional craft of Kawandi, originating from the Siddi communities in India and Pakistan.
You will learn how to take scraps of bright and vibrant fabrics, and use hand stitching to produce a beautiful, functional piece of textile art, reflecting your own personality.
All materials and tools will be provided, but if you would like to, please bring your own lightweight, even weave fabrics (no stretch fabrics please), for some gentle, sociable stitching.
No stitching experience is necessary, as you will be taught all the skills involved.
Suitable for 8 years and upwards. Children to be accompanied by an adult
