Workshops & Events


For 14 years the Big Skill cic has provided creative activities across England and Wales, via Craft and Chat Wellbeing Workshops, Skills and Work Enhancement Accredited Training, Recycling Waste into Crafts and community designed sculptures.

In the last 2 years, working with a range of community and support partners, in Powys, Monmouthshire and Hereford we have held over 150 craft workshops, walks and zoom sessions. Plus 30 workshops across Bannau Brycheiniog, during our ‘Beacons and Surround Crafts Week’ and ran 25 Agored Cymru accredited training courses.

    Come along and learn the traditional craft of Kawandi, originating from the Siddi communities in India and Pakistan. You will learn how to take scraps of bright and vibrant fabrics, and use hand stitching to produce a beautiful, functional piece of textile art, reflecting your own personality.
